Neil Back MBE Announced As Footprints New Ambassador

23.8.23

Neil Back MBE has been announced as Footprints newest Ambassador.

Neil is a former international rugby union player for England, the British & Irish Lions, Nottingham RFC and Leicester Tigers, and captained both England and Leicester during his career.

Following World Cup victory with England in 2003, Neil became a coach at Leicester Tigers until he retired from sport, following an illustrious 17-year first class playing career.

Footprints are so excited to have Neil on board, who brings his commitment and energy to the charity, working alongside their Patron Richard Whitehead MBE and existing team of Champion and Celebrity Ambassadors.

This announcement forms part of an ambitious plan to grow the Nottingham based charity, enabling them to work with and provide more support to children living with communication and mobility difficulties across the East Midlands, as well as empowering and supporting their families.

Footprints new Chair of the Board of Trustees, Rob Evans, said “we’re thrilled to welcome Neil to the Footprints team as one of our Ambassadors. Neil brings his impressive passion and energy for all aspects of his life, including the world of sport, to our charity and we’re so pleased he will be supporting us.

By working with Neil, we hope to ensure more people know about Footprints, we can reach more families and form new partnerships.”
