Held at PRYZM, the sold-out evening saw teams of colleagues and solo performers from across the city’s property and construction industry put on a quality live show, with more than 800 people attending. The event celebrated a great year for sport, including Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the Premier League, the incredible Euros win by the Lionesses – and in anticipation of this year’s World Cup.
Since kicking off in 2004, Hot Property has involved more than 100 people taking to the stage, raising in excess of £314,000 for local children’s charities and helping to create a positive change in many youngsters’ lives.
Siobhan Goodacre, a Hot Property trustee and one of the organisers of the popular event, said: “It really was a fantastic evening, with some incredible performances in front of a full house, with everyone coming together to raise a significant amount of money for Footprints. It was a record-breaking night and definitely one of the best, and most well attended, events we’ve ever had.”
The 2022 chosen charity Footprints is a Nottingham-based organisation that provides conductive education among other services to help children with mobility and communication difficulties develop the skills they need to thrive and achieve their potential.
It supports babies and pre-school children with conditions such as cerebral palsy that cause motor disorders or motor development delay. The charity also runs projects to help children with Down Syndrome improve their skills in all areas of early development.
Stephen Frew, Footprints charity and business manager, said: “We have absolutely loved being Hot Property’s charity for this year. Last night was an incredible event and a great opportunity for us to raise awareness of what we do and the services we provide. We are blown away by the money which has been raised and are grateful for every penny, which will all be utilised to transform the lives of our children and families. We’re very proud to have been a part of Hot Property for 2022.”
The show saw performers belting out an array of hit crowd-pleasers, from Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now and Common People by Pulp, to Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline and Juice by Lizzo.
The line-up also included Nic Jepson, who performed Vindaloo as the finale, he said: “It was a wonderful event to be involved in and I can’t praise all my fellow performers enough, as they all dedicated many hours of rehearsing in their own time so that they could put on a great show.”
Nic is also a Footprints trustee and connected the charity with Hot Property. “In my role with Footprints, I understand the incredible work the charity does to support so many children and their families. We are so grateful to the sponsors, audience and everyone involved in Hot Property for raising money that will help change lives” he added.
The event wouldn’t be possible without its generous support from local firms. The headline sponsors this year included Pagabo and Pulse Consult, with further sponsorship from Chord Consult, CPMG, DL Design Studio, Faithful+Gould, FHP, Inspired Villages, Overbury, Samclo, Selcon and Shakespeare Martineau. Joining these were PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency RizkMcCayTribe, design and print agency Ginger Root, and the event’s media partner TheBusinessDesk.com.
